Asa Gartland

Yorkshire-born and London-based, Asa Gartland directs films, music videos and commercials with a fondness for both the sublime and the ridiculous.

His work explores how misfits and outsiders are forced to navigate the often dysfunctional systems they find themselves in. Through a mixture of character-led performance and bold visual language, Asa tries to create an absurd tone that can’t decide whether to laugh or cry, so it does both.
